Self-guided tours

Accompany your own group and explore the past through the Museum’s collections, from Prehistory up until 1945.

A complete tour of all the Museum’s collections and the Dôme (Napoleon I’s tomb) requires over 4 hours. To facilitate the management of all groups, please choose 2 spaces to explore.

 

Booking methods

Both guided and self-guided tours must be booked at least one month before the date of your visit.

Incomplete forms cannot be processed.

Does your institution come under the Paris, Reims, Rouen, Créteil, Versailles or Amiens education authority? Are you available on Mondays?

Prices

Guided tour prices

€65 per group per tour (permanent collections)

  • Groups must include a maximum of 30 students.
  • Free admission for one accompanying adult per 10 students (one per 5 students for pre-schools).
  • Free admission for teachers, solely upon presentation of a valid Pass Éducation (Education Pass).
  • Cultural outreach groups: €50 upon presentation of supporting documents.

 

Special circumstances: tours of temporary exhibitions

Tours are available throughout the day on weekdays, and are limited to one group per time slot.

  • Groups must include a maximum of 25 individuals (adults included).
  • €65 per group
  • Teacher(s): €5 per teacher upon presentation of a Pass Éducation (Education Pass) at the till.
  • Available time slots: every 30 minutes from 10.15am.

 

Prices for self-guided tours

  • Free for young people aged under 18 (all countries);
  • Free admission to the permanent collections for young people aged under 26 (EU and EEA nationals and long-term residents*).
  • Free admission for one accompanying adult per 10 students (one per 5 students for pre-schools).
  • Free admission to the permanent collections for teachers, solely upon presentation of a Pass Éducation (Education Pass, issued by the French Ministry of National Education).
  • Groups of a minimum of 10 students aged 18–25 (non-residents of the EU or EEA): €12 per student and €15 per adult.

 

Please note: The admission fee for the temporary exhibitions is €15 for adults; teachers pay €5 upon presentation of an Education Pass at the till. Students aged under 25 who are long-term residents of the EU pay €5 upon presentation of proof of identity.

 

* Members of the EU and EEA: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, France, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Romania, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Sweden.
