Visitors with disabilities

The Musée de l'Armée provides specific access to facilitate your visit, and offers tours for groups so that everyone can explore its collections.

Accessibility

Parking and entrance

Visitors with mobility disabilities are invited to enter at 6 boulevard des Invalides. Places are reserved for them in the back alleys.

Lifts

All the Museum’s spaces are accessible and equipped with lifts. The Department of Arms and Armour has ground-floor access. The Musée de l'Ordre de la Libération also has ground-floor access, from South Reception, and the Musée des Plans-Reliefs is equipped with a lift.

Please note: the Dôme which houses  Napoléon I’s tomb is not accessible to individuals with reduced mobility since there are steps both inside and outside.

Loan of equipment

Wheelchairs* may be borrowed by individuals with mobility issues; these are available from the reception/ticket desks at the Esplanade des Invalides (north side) and Place Vauban (south side).

Proof of identity is required, and will be retained at the reception desk during your visit.
