Guided Tours

 

The museum invites you to (re) discover the epic world full of intrigues of the King's soldiers, the heroes who inspired Alexandre Dumas in his novel The Three Musketeers. Your tour guide will point out how the soldiers of this elite unit, better remembered for their blue tabard embroidered with a silver cross inspired literature, but also comics, cinema, theater, advertising and even video games. You will be surprised by the contrast between the many representations of the Musketeers through the media and the scarcity of objects reflecting their real life. Your guide will introduce you to a collection of objects, documents and exceptional works of art. Oscillating between fiction and reality, you will encounter the real d'Artagnan, Louis XIII and Richelieu, the scheming Milady and the Man in the Iron Mask ...
